  23. I never expected to hit such a nerve.  I humbly apologize for raising
  24. everyone's blood pressure.
  25.  
  26. It is true that I post a lot of links, and that most of these are questions,
  27. and that they are well and cogently answered, by and large.  Thus, I do
  28. benefit from the noble sacrifices of others.
  29.  
  30. Further, these sacrifices will rebound to the greater good:  my work on
  31. scaleable views (for example) will probably be incorporated into MacApp.
  32. Thus, it can be said that I am returning one noble sacrifice for another — the
  33. basis of Goldman's scheme, and that upon which I said on cannot rely.
  34.  
  35. But that is my point:  that despite the willingness of any given individual to
  36. sacrifice to the greater good (as I am doing with scaelable views), a system
  37. that relies on large numbers of such sacrifices is not likely to work out, in
  38. the long run.
  39.  
  40. Again, let me close by saying that it is my deepest hope that I'm wrong on
  41. this one, and that the venture will be a roaring success.  On that note, I'll
  42. slink out of here, and remain
